The hotel staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and fluent in English. When we called late in the evening to confirm the address with our taxi driver, they were extremely accommodating. The next morning, the receptionist (whose name I regret not asking) kindly booked us a taxi through Didi, and we paid her in cash since our new destination didn’t have an English translation. The breakfast was excellent, offering three different options, and the mountain view from our room was breathtaking. The room itself was also very spacious, adding to our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Set just about a 5-minute drive from Reed Flute Cave, 2 km from the centre of Guilin City, The Beyond Villa Guilin sits close to Taohua River and is surrounded by greenery and silence neighbourhood. The staff, especially one staff member, was amazing. Helped so much with trips and gave so much advice and very friendly. The breakfast is also amazing, and the breakfast dining room is very comfy. The hotel overall is just very cute and our room was very cute. and the staff are extremely (like I want to emphasize it) friendly and helpful. Even packed us lunch for our boat trip when we left the hotel.

The owner Kitty is absolutely amazing - she speaks great English and is super helpful in organising anything you want to do around Guilin. One afternoon she even invited me to eat Chinese Hotpot with her and the other staff which was delicious. The location is great - in a nice and quiet leafy area but just a short walk from the beautiful Sun and Moon pagodas.
