Conveniently located in Yuexiu District, one of the suburbs in the CBD, the hotel is close to a supermarket (about 5 minutes' walk), a number of cafes and a McDonald's outlet. Tugged away in a side road, the hotel is in a courtyard, away from traffic noise. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Huge room on high floor with great views. Very posh and good experience for relatively small amount of money. Really liked the stay. Bug bones - stuff that actually speaks English. Breakfast was amazing, maybe best i had, but very much asian. Best hotel we stayed in China for sure.

Centrally located in Guangzhou's Central Business District, Baiyun Hotel is only steps from Taojin Subway Station (line 5). It offers air-conditioned guest rooms with a minibar and a satellite TV. Everything went well, from the first day till check out. The staff from receptionist, concierge, till housekeeping are top team. Location also superb, easy access to anywhere, everywhere, anytime. Surrounded with a lot of restaurant, also it's safe for single traveler.

Situated within less than 1 km of Pearl River and 1.8 km of Huaisheng Mosque, Guangzhou Hotel - Haizhu square metro station & close to Beijing road features rooms with air conditioning and a private... The 2022 renovation was super classy and most importantly, functional. Things just work. You have a wide enough bathroom countertop, it's spacious, the light switches are labeled in both Chinese characters and English. I've stayed in many well-known American chain hotels where they renovate in a way so that everything is just sleek. So sleek it's hard to figure out how to turn on the bedside lamp because it doesn't have a switch, it's a touch sensor. And it seems like all the major hotel chains are jumping on the same dumb trend. Not at the Guangzhou Hotel. It's modernized, but still remembers its roots. For example, the elevators have a wall decoration that says "27 floors" which is a nod to its nickname when it first opened. Modern, classy, and not at all generic. The view over the river from the top floors was the coolest view in town back in the day, so much that families would go to a photo studio to get their family pics taken in front of a photo of the view. The Guangzhou Hotel has not forgotten its place in the history and identity of Guangzhou. The AC is super responsive and works really well. It's also very clean, which just elevates your stay so much more. Also a bus to/from Hong Kong (including a direct bus to/from HKIA) stops literally at the front door. The ticket office is in the lobby. Extremely convenient. The location cannot be beat. Right above Exit E at the Haizhu Square Subway Station, across from great shopping at BinBin, great food all around, great views, etc.
