Accessible to most of the attractions. Proximity to the Rhine River was beautiful. Restaurants are nearby too. The breakfast we’dvery good.

The architecture attracted me to make the reservation and it lived up to expectations. FYI, i dont know Basel very well and have not stayed overnight before. It is a good location and easy to get to the concert hall etc. The courtyard is extra special and will be a key reason to return if/when th opportunity arises in the future.

Das Bloom Hotel & Bar in Basel liegt 50 m von der Messe Basel und 1,1 km vom Blue and White House entfernt und bietet eine Bar und Zimmer mit kostenfreiem WLAN. The reception personnel were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The gentleman who greeted me was very professional and knowledgeable and the lady on the desk in the morning was of the same calibre - extremely pleasant. Whilst settling the account upon checkout it was lovely to be informed that the chocolates and water which I had consumed in the room were complimentary. The room was more than adequate and suited to my needs. It was a "Triple" room, but I wouldn't have enjoyed sharing such a small space for more than a simple nights rest. For me alone it was perfect. The double bed was luxurious and I slept extremely well, felt very refreshed and restored in the morning. A coffee pod machine and tea bags were available to make a morning brew. A small fridge for essentials. Great TV which I had a quick flick through. Modern system interface with easy navigation. Vast amount of services available: television, radio, movies, internet, information etc. The bathroom was very modern and new, and the shower absolutely great. Towels were absolutely divine - big, white and fluffy as they should be! Despite the location there wasn't any noise disturbance, even on a Saturday night in central Basel. The hotel is sited virtually opposite the Messeplatz tramline, a very busy and prosperous area of Basel. You can get to anywhere in Basel from here and the main train station is just a few minutes away. Just around the corner is a high street full of shops, restaurants, bars etc (Clarastrase). From Messeplatz you can take Tram 8 to Weil am Rhein train station in Germany, just over the border. France is just a tram ride away too! Breakfast was available but I already had plans for meeting outside, so I didn't experience it. The breakfast room was in a separate area behind the reception. Next to the reception was a bar/coffee lounge and this looked very inviting.

The location - close to the train station, close to the airport bus, on pedestrian street in the old town, but only 2 minutes away from the tram station. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped. The staff both on reception and in the restaurant were kind and always willing to help.

Mitte im Herzen von Basel begrüßt Sie dieses umweltfreundliche 4-Sterne-Boutique- und Designhotel. Sie wohnen in stilvollen Zimmern mit modernen Annehmlichkeiten wie einer iPod-Dockingstation. Everything was fresh and modern. Good location. Staff was outstanding - made us dinner reservations and really helped me out when I lost my phone.
