The host, Antonella, after apologizing for not being able to greet me personally because she was on Chrstmas vacation with her parents, was on call at all times. The shared terrace at the back of the building has an amazing view, and we never saw another person out there. It's a short walk north of Jorge Amado's old home. On a windy street with colorful architecture that takes you back to another time. Being such a central location, it is not the most quiet area for some, but the air-conditioning nicely canceled all that out. If you have good legs and want to be in the middle of a historic neighborhood that is close to most things, is comfortable, and stylish.... you have found it.
