I was in Rio de Janeiro for a week and wanted a place not too expensive, from where I could visit the city : it's near the Lapa neighborhood who's a place to see, there are groceries and restaurants nearby, etc. And for the most touristic places of the city, I went by taxi. I also wanted a place where I could have some calm for working on my computer : I stayed many afternoon on the balcony, it was perfect, sunny but not to hot and really quiet (as for the nights). The owner is really nice and makes you feel at home. For me, it's a great place for backpackers with low budget who wants to visit Rio and stay in a less-touristic area than Copacabana.

Loved Debora at the front desk, not only is she friendly, she’s also attentive even during people checking in and out en masse all day every day. All the other staff are great too, most understood basic English but would definitely help if you speak Spanish or Portuguese

Hotel Carioca ligger i distriktet Lapa i Rio de Janeiro, 6 minuters bilresa från flygplatsen Santos Dumont. WiFi är gratis. Arcos da Lapa ligger 500 meter bort. They were all so helpful and sweet and the hotel is good located close to everything.

Detta hotell ligger 2 km från Rio de Janeiros kommersiella centrum och 3 km från Flamengo-stranden. Restaurangen serverar en daglig frukostbuffé. Location is awesome, Saturdays can be light due to the weekend movida but also cool because out of the fire you have the Rio nightlife. Breakfast is awesome.

Américas Granada Hotel ligger i Rio de Janeiro och har en restaurang, en utomhuspool, ett fitnesscenter och en bar. Receptionen är öppen dygnet runt och rumsservice samt gratis WiFi erbjuds. Staff were super friendly and service was great except when the pool bar is open it is almost impossible to get anything from the restaurant. It took 40min to get a Coca Cola up from the downstairs restaurant. They should just say “no service at the pool” and I would’ve got it myself. Other than that a great value stay.

Perfectly located in the heart of the City! The staff was very welcoming. Everyone was busy during check in and the entire staff was cool and calm.
