Excellent location, the staff were very professional but also kind and warm. The breakfast buffet was very good, with plenty of options. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

Plaza Spania Boutique Hotel is situated in the Botafogo district in Rio de Janeiro, 260 metres from Botafogo Beach. Amazing little historical hotel! We stayed here for three nights and loved it! The room is not huge, but good enough to rest and keep all of our bags (we have 4 bags). The room is clean enough, the bed is comfortable, and air conditioner is really helpful for a hot day in August. The shower is clean and water pressure is a dream! All the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is definitely a bonus with many choices and delicious. The location is great too, close to everything but not expensive. The only thing is the Uber drivers may be picky as it is close to the airport.🤣 The price is very reasonable. Local friends told us this area is much better. I strongly agree. Strongly recommended!
