On the number 2 bus route from the airport, only 40 mins ride.

The Holiday Inn Salzburg City, an IHG Hotel, is only a 10-minute walk away from the Mirabell Gardens and a 15-minute walk from the Old Town. We (a couple) had a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn. The hotel's location is convenient as it can be reached easily from the city centre, either by a 10-15 minute walk or by taking a 3-minute walk to the nearest bus stop. It is easy to reach and come back from the city centre. The check-in process was straightforward and the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was immaculate and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning system worked flawlessly, keeping the room warm in spite of the freezing temperature outside. The kettle with cups and tea/coffee bags were a nice addition. The room had a full wall-sized window, offering a nice view of the street and a snow-covered hill. The street was quiet at night and we had no trouble sleeping during the night. The room's lighting was tasteful and relaxing, with a dim theme that set a calming atmosphere during the evening and night. However, it might not be suitable for formal online meetings. The Wi-Fi signal was strong and stable, allowing for uninterrupted video streaming throughout the room. The bathroom was large and spotlessly clean, with a full-sized bathtub, good quality shampoo, soap, and towels that were replaced daily. The hotel's interior was very attractive and welcoming, and we enjoyed spending time in the reading area, which had comfortable chairs and a few books. The breakfast was excellent, with many options available for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Although the menu remained the same for four days, there were so many options that we couldn't try them all. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for a few days of your stay.
