Our small family run hotel is located about 5km south of the old town of Salzburg, in a quiet and scenic location. The breakfast had many options, the coffee is delicious. Excellent and friendly service.

Situated just 5 km from Salzburg’s historical centre, the Mostwastl offers a garden with views of the Untersberg Mountain. Facilities include an elegant cocktail bar. Everything was just like we expected!

The peaceful setting was a refuge from the tourist crowds in the centre.

Out of walking distance to the centre, but the bus has a stop right outside and the journey to the centre takes about 15 minutes. I recommend getting a Salzburg card directly from the guesthouse (fares and visits to most sights are included).

The area is very green and lovely, plenty of cycling paths for walks / runs/ bike rides. Monika warmly welcomed us on our arrival giving us fresh eggs from her chickens and was very lovely to give us indications to use public transport. We had a wonderful stay!
