The family-run Hotel zum Schwarzen Bären is located in a quiet side street in the centre of Linz, only a 3-minute walk away from the main square. It offers free Wi-Fi access. I loved everything about this place - the localisation, helpful staff, tasty and fresh breakfast. Rooms were super comfortable and well-equipped. I appreciate the little things like accessories for cleaning shoes - came handy, especially in the winter. Or sewing kit - came handy too! And the hairdryer! It was absolutely the best hairdryer I have ever used!

Room was clean and nice. The location is excellent since the train station (hauptbahnhof) is a short walk. Also you are close to the main street. The staff was friendly and nice.

It was an emergency stop due to train stoppage due to floods. I was totally amazed at the front desk guy Michael. He keeps so calm and totally in control with dozens of people queuing up for a room. He was helpful and had a good service mind and kept all the guests happy with his smile. Well done Mike. I would hire him any day.
