Häuserl im Wald is located on the edge of Graz within a 15-minute tram ride from the centre, and it houses a restaurant serving Austrian cuisine and regional specialties. We had a miscommunication about the amount of beds, and we were upgraded to a bigger room free of charge. The room was in fact an entire apartment, with a living room, terrace, two bedrooms and a kitchen, very spacious and in a beautiful location. There was a fairytale walkway to up the hill to the main house, flanked by roses and geese. Breakfast was good, staff super friendly and keen to help us in every possible way.

Gästehaus Plank is situated in a leafy neighbourhood, just 500 metres from the Maria Trost Basilica. All rooms feature a private balcony facing the basilica. The hostess (Gertie) went above and beyond in assisting us with a car problem. She is a gem!
