This is probably one of the most historical and luxurious stays I have ever enjoyed. Our suite was located inside an old Cape Dutch house. The adjective "enormous" can be applied to the 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, the dining room, the sitting room and the kitchen. The perfectly kept gardens integrated into the surrounding Western Cape mountain landscape. Unfortunately we only stayed one night and could not take advantage of the magic swimming pool located nearby. We were welcomed by a charming, friendly person who helped us find our way around our suite.

Beautiful property and super helpful team. The only downside is that they don’t serve dinner so we need to go out and getting a ride back isn’t easy.

Mooiplaas Wine Estate ligger i Stellenbosch i en historisk bygning, 21 km fra Stellenbosch Universitet, og er en nyrenoveret lejlighed med have og grillfaciliteter. when we arrived it was night time so we really didn’t appreciate the outside until the next day. However, we didn’t realise we had such a big accommodation. So much room and so much history in this beautiful house. We had a four poster bed! It’s very much furnished in the Cape Dutch style of the 1800s and quite breathtaking! Downton Abbey in the Cape! This is self catering and everything you need is here for a comfortable stay. ours was three nights but would have loved a week here. The garden surrounding the house is so beautiful - an amazing sight to wake up to. There are outside cooking facilities as well as inside and we made use of both. Sadly our age stopped us from exploring the hiking trails but highly recommended, either walk or bike.
