Decor is very tasteful and different with period furniture and wooden floors. Conveniently located close to motorway junction. Separate shower and WC and own sauna. Well equipped kitchen where everything worked. Lots of wildlife (deer in garden). Quiet but agricultural area so you have to make allowances for the odd tractor. Room is combined living/bedroom but big enough for two people. Hosts are very helpful and approachable. Lots to do in the area so makes a good base to explore from.

This elegant hotel, dating back to the early 1900s, is peacefully surrounded by nature. Central Leksand is a 10-minute walk away. The ambience, atmosphere, and decor. It felt like stepping back in time into a more gracious and less rushed age. There was something very special about this hotel which I liked very much. The views towards Lake Siljan were lovely also. In addition, I liked the many black and white photos from the past, the comfortable and spacious lounge, the piano, and the coffee room with the selection of icecreams.
