Skiing, cycling and hiking are possible within the area, and Olsbacka cottage offers ski storage space. The welcome, the tranquility, the beautiful decor of both cottage and garden, and the fact that you are the only guest since they only have 1 cottage 🙂. Definitely recommended!
Nedre Vanbo
Nestled in the greenery at Barken's Beach, this manor house dates back to 1725 and is situated just a few metres from the tranquil waters of Lake Barken in Bergslagen. The property offers a spa and wellness centre which features a sauna, rain showers and a large hot tub. The atmosphere was exceptionel. Such a lovely old wooden house, cosy bed and room, and even the Internet was decent. The setting at the Lake is just beautiful. The Best, however, was the food. Don't miss out on the authentic swedish breakfast, but The three-course-dinner was one of the best i have ever had. worth every penny!

This countryside hostel is 5 km from Kläppen Ski Resort and 20 km from Sälen Ski Resort. It offers ski storage facilities, canoes for guests to discover the Lake Motjärn and a private beach. Free WiFi is available. Strongly recommended! Cozy hostel with home like feeling, all clean and tidy. Large kitchen with everything you could imagine professional kitchen should have, nice and spacy living room with table games, books, TV etc. But special Thank You for helping us with flat tyre repair! First Camp Orsa - Dalarna is located on the seafront in Orsa, 35 km from Tomteland and 17 km from Zorn Museum. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the country house free of charge. The country house features a family-friendly restaurant, and is 17 km away from Vasaloppet Museum. It's huge - great cabin and outdoor/indoor playground for the kids.
Leksand
This elegant hotel, dating back to the early 1900s, is peacefully surrounded by nature. Central Leksand is a 10-minute walk away. It offers views over Lake Siljan, a large furnished terrace and free Wi-Fi. The ambience, atmosphere, and decor. It felt like stepping back in time into a more gracious and less rushed age. There was something very special about this hotel which I liked very much. The views towards Lake Siljan were lovely also. In addition, I liked the many black and white photos from the past, the comfortable and spacious lounge, the piano, and the coffee room with the selection of icecreams.

It's a pretty good option to stay in this area. The interior details are nicely thought through, look pretty and it's just really nice to have the whole cabin for myself with all needed facilities for a comfortable stay. The neighbourhood was calm and quiet, I had a good time there.
Clean, no-frills accommodation, with shared facilities, quiet and convenient location
Charming cottage in rural location outside Falun. Decor is very tasteful and different with period furniture and wooden floors. Conveniently located close to motorway junction. Separate shower and WC and own sauna. Well equipped kitchen where everything worked. Lots of wildlife (deer in garden). Quiet but agricultural area so you have to make allowances for the odd tractor. Room is combined living/bedroom but big enough for two people. Hosts are very helpful and approachable. Lots to do in the area so makes a good base to explore from.
The host was nice. The surroundings are calm and quiet.
Very cozy and well equipped cabin in beautiful countryside. Very quiet and remote but only 10 min walking distance from an electric car charger. Hedemora is the nearest bigger city with supermarkets, gas stations and restaurants. As a sports fisherman I found a scenic put and take lake only half an hour away where I also saw a moose.
A unique hostel on the edge of one of Sweden's most fascinating cultural treasures, the Falu mine. The building was old and beautiful, and all the common spaces were sparkling clean. My room was cozy and the bed very comfortable. There's also an excellent restaurant and a charming cafe just a two-minute walk away. Altogether a quiet and peaceful oasis in the charming city of Falun.
We liked the location, the area was really quiet and it was a nice view over the lake. Just 5 minutes walk to get down to lakeside and there you can follow the walking trails to the nearby camping or go for longer hiking trip. Also it is just a couple of minutes walk to the nearby shops, cafe, hotel, all accomodated in old traditional buildings.
Superb, quiet location for a peaceful break from work
Nice beach for swimming, good restaurant, new clean and comfortable cottage. Quiet and peaceful. Good beds.
