We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

Great location for exploring Eastern parts of geres national park. Beautiful place, great swimming pool. Family room couldn't be better with separate rooms for children and parents. Kind and helpful hosts.

Set within 43 km of Carvalhelhos Thermal Spa and 23 km of Montalegre Castle, Casa de Campo Gracinda provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tourém. A trip to Tourem is like time travel. It is mesmerising,out of this world. Casa de Campo Gracinda is a typical village natural stone house, restored to high and very tasteful standard. The rooms are warm and cosy with great on-suite facilities. The kitchen and lounge is very well equipped and comfortable. Unforunately our trip was accompanied by bad and cold weather, but the house was warm cosy and made more then up for it.

Situated in Peso da Régua and only 7.7 km from Douro Museum, Quinta do Valdalágea features accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great location just outside Peso da Guarda. Rooms 1, 3 and 5 have views over the vineyards and the Douro; the two other rooms face a garden that wraps around the side of the main building to a garden table with a view. Breakfast is copious. It’s a charming property with a nice rural feel. Joachim was a friendly host who obviously cares. Thanks for the welcome glass of Porto!

Set just 12 km from Douro Museum, Quinta da Pousada Casa de Campo features accommodation in Santa Marta de Penaguião with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as private check-in and check-out. I usually don't like to use superlatives but I'm not exaggerating when I say that this Quinta was the best accomodation I had in my life so far. My room was superb, the breakfast and lunch tasted amazing, the staff was extremly friendly, helpful and respectful. Most of them speak english very well or even perfectly. The location is picturesque and relaxed, you can enjoy an amazing view over the surrounding wineyards from the balcony or the terrace. There is a swimming pool and there are a lot of hiking opportunities in the area. Perfect place to stay!

Offering garden views, Quinta de Santa Marinha is an accommodation located in Castedo, 41 km from Douro Museum and 35 km from Mateus Palace. The stay was even nicer than we could have expected. The view was incredible, the rooms comfortable, and the food impeccable. The host was incredibly kind and gave us good recommendations for things to do in the area. Would recommend this place to anyone I know!

Set within 20 km of Mirandela Medieval Bridge and 46 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casa de Campo das Sécias offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vilas Boas. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.

Offering free WiFi and a seasonal outdoor pool, Casa de l Cura is set in Genízio. There is a games room on site and guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Bragança is 43 km away. Great facilities and wonderful hosts. You guys are great. Xx

Set in Torre de Moncorvo, 30 km from Longroiva Hot Springs, Olhares do Douro offers accommodation with pool with a view, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. Perfect place, we had a great time! The location is excellent, a relatively small town, the house has easy access to the river (a place from which you can enter the river and also sit in the grass) the view from the balcony of the room was amazing and there is also a swimming pool with a view of the mountains and the river. The hosts were kind! The room was very clean and comfortable Excellent value for the price
