We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

Rooms 1, 3 and 5 have views over the vineyards and the Douro; the two other rooms face a garden that wraps around the side of the main building to a garden table with a view. Breakfast is copious. It’s a charming property with a nice rural feel. Joachim was a friendly host who obviously cares. Thanks for the welcome glass of Porto!

The owners/hosts made the experience absolutely wonderful. The port wine tasting and dinner experience was one for the books. The property was gorgeous,clean and well maintained.

A nice boutique Hotel (5 rooms only) within the vineyards. Great pool, cozy interior. The managing lady was really kind and helpful. Nice breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, sweet cake :) And breathtaking view from the rooms panoramic windows to Duoro valley! Amazing!!!

Set within 20 km of Mirandela Medieval Bridge and 46 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casa de Campo das Sécias offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vilas Boas. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.

Casa de L Cura is a lovely little hotel with 6 big comfortable bedrooms, a great pool and breakfast with local products such as honey, figs and proper croissants! What makes this property a 10 is the service from Maria : lending us free towels for the pool to researching activities and timetables for you to do in the area, her smile and super friendly demeanour!

Perfect place, we had a great time! The location is excellent, a relatively small town, the house has easy access to the river (a place from which you can enter the river and also sit in the grass) the view from the balcony of the room was amazing and there is also a swimming pool with a view of the mountains and the river. The hosts were kind! The room was very clean and comfortable Excellent value for the price
