Ana - one of the owners - treated me like family from the very first second. She showed me around the property and explained everything. She insisted that i try / use the swimming pool. Just what I needed after 2 days of walking from Porto. Bit of swimming, followed by some chilling in the garden looking at the hills nearby. In the meantime, I left my dirty clothes outside of the room and they got washedand dried by them (for a small fee). After taking a shower I went downstairs to have dinner. And what an amazing dinner I had. Soup as a starter, with a couple of rolls and butter / cheese spread. Then a traditional north Portuguese meal (something like a sausage with chicken, beef and pork) with rice and salad. Then Ana brought me a few cookies too, they were delicious. They have a ton of different wines but i don't drink so did not try them. Once I finished with my dinner, we talked about breakfast as I left early, so Ana made sandwiches for me to take away with juice box, a boiled egg and a bottle of water. 100% recommend to visit this place it was worth every penny. The building is brand new, they only opened a few months ago. Although it is next to the main road, the soundproofing was great and did not hear anything. I'd go back in a heartbeat! Ana and her family made me fell like home.

So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

The serenity of the location makes it very peaceful. Nice to have access to a kettle, fridge, etc. Lots of seating and recliners provided outside so you can take in the view. They even have an electric vehicle charging point.
