From this location, you're close to so many things (assuming you have a car). Our host was amazing before, during, and after our stay, responding by text very quickly whenever we had a question or needed anything. She was fantastic and made us feel so welcome. The kitchen is excellent, and so are the bathroom and beds. Very quiet at night.

Cláudio is a super nice and helpful host who left us a welcome basket of all the goods one could dream of. The apartment is very well decorated.

Breakfast was delicious and kept us going the whole day.

We had a wonderful time at the Casa Da Lava. With Paola’s information (Google Maps pin and house number) the house was easy to find, even at night. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. The wi fi worked perfectly, so did the hot water (no problems with pressure or temperature), and it is NOT filled with insects as other reviews say, we saw a couple but that is only normal when you have nature around (I do not like insects and had no issues). This place is not ideal if you are looking for a modern minimal vibe, but if you like romantic country houses it is very beautiful and we strongly recommend it.

Location! the view from the back porch was exceptional. We visited the natural swimming pool built in lava. The market next store is wonderful for groceries, coffee, espresso, and paninis. If you go sit on the patio there about 10 a.m., you’ll be enjoying the company of the beautiful sisters Georgiana and Mary who live down the street. In the evening, go to George’s Rotunda and have a glass of yummy homemade Angelica. The house is beautiful and comfortable and Umberta the housekeeper will take good care of you.
