We had room nr. 3. It was ample, nicely appointed. The staff was extremely helpful and generous with their time. Everything worked well. The room was soundproof. The bed was comfortable, the shower strong. The view was beautiful overlooking a large garden. The buffet breakfast was good and tasty. Location was ideal. We highly recommend this place.

The weather was really difficult the day we reached but our lovely host made sure we reached safe and even offered a heart warming quick meal for us. All the restaurants and grocery store were closed by the time we reached and that was a really nice gesture. The property itself is magical. It is built right next to the Sea by a waterfall and there are some walking trails around. It is beautiful and must be experienced.

Situated in Ponta Delgada, 7 km from Portas da Cidade, Ponta Delgada - Casa Rural features free WiFi and sea views. This was our favorite stay of our trip and we stayed at 3 different locations. Private, clean and big room with private bathroom and lots of privacy. Secure parking within steps and beautiful authentic hosts. It’s clear the owners take pride in their belongings and hosting, they were available for any and all questions and even showed us items around the house we wanted to know more about. Beautiful eating area with a gorgeous view and even offered us fresh sweet ride pudding and banana bread! We burnt our dinner one evening, and Paulinha offered us part of her own dinner. Central area which allowed us to return to areas around the island we wanted more time at and walking distance to grocery store as well. Don’t miss out on this place!!!

We loved everything about this place - it was so relaxing to be there and the housekeeper was so sweet. Only wished we could have stayed in the main guest space. Will do that next time with friends. Our child even likened the experience to that of a five-star hotel, only much cozier. When we return to San Miguel, we will definitely choose to stay here again. Additionally, the location was charming, and easily accessible by car.
