We stayed 3 nights after spending time in a tambopata river lodge. Kapievi is a wonderful peaceful place with delicious food and quiet isolated rooms in a tropical setting.The pool is very welcome in the jungle heat. We had the inhouse vegetarian 3 course meal twice (different menu). The meals are beautifully presented, good portions and delicious. The staff were also very helpful arranging transport into the center of Puerto Maldonado. The location is on the outskirts of Puerto Maldonado so a taxi is necessary to and from. It's not walkable.

At the country house, every unit is fitted with a patio. A terrace with garden views is offered in every unit. All units have a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen.
Sightseeing tours are available in the surrounding area. The country house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open.
Near to the city but in the complete nature, no car/motorcycle noises, you only hear the animals. And only two guest houses. Room according to description.

I had a lovely stay with these guys. Helpful staff, not to be taken for granted. And as a solo traveller (which in Puerto Maldonado doesn't seem very common), its a nice balance between quiet time and having a few people to chat to and its not completely in the middle of nowhere, but has a lovely garden and nice birds around (and a canopy walk). Breakfast is an omelette, juice, fried banana (nice) and bread/jam. Simple but does the job, and $10usd which isnt bad (compared to other places). I would go back
Amazing location, very nice and quiet, rooms are amazing, the tours are great organised. Breakfast was also very good. I have to make a special applause for the kitchen - all the meals at restaurant are delicious and so good.
Beautiful, peaceful hotel. A little oasis in Puerto Maldonado. The staff was great and helpful all the way. The food provided was delicious. The squirrel visiting the balcony in the morning was the cherry on top of the cake.

I really enjoyed my two-weeks stay at Rosa's house ! :D Rosa and Elvis are beautiful people, very kind and friendly ! Kira and Kuka, the two dogs, are very friendly and affectionate too ^^ It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, the perfect location to relax, rest and meditate or going on adventures in the jungle. Rosa's house is at walking distance from the centre of Puerto Maldonado (about 1 hour) but if you don't want to walk, you can take a tuktuk or a mototaxi passing by. I highly recommend this place !
Breakfast is plenty and tasty. They even had Nutella! A water fountain is available in the reception area, very convenient to refill your bottle. The hotel was quiet at night, beds were comfy.
Beautiful peaceful location. White sand beach begins 400 m away. Rooms are spacious and clean, bed comfortable, kitchen remarkably well equipped, and great shower. Patio faces sea. Town of Las Galleras is 20 minute walk along the beach but there is a bar 100 m away and good restaurants closer than the town. Owner provides excellent smoothies every morning.
