Sightseeing tours are available in the surrounding area. The country house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open.
Near to the city but in the complete nature, no car/motorcycle noises, you only hear the animals. And only two guest houses. Room according to description.
Juice at breakfast very delicious.
Recommend to do the Lago Yacumama tour with the owner Nicolas.

I had a lovely stay with these guys. Helpful staff, not to be taken for granted. And as a solo traveller (which in Puerto Maldonado doesn't seem very common), its a nice balance between quiet time and having a few people to chat to and its not completely in the middle of nowhere, but has a lovely garden and nice birds around (and a canopy walk). Breakfast is an omelette, juice, fried banana (nice) and bread/jam. Simple but does the job, and $10usd which isnt bad (compared to other places). I would go back
Amazing location, very nice and quiet, rooms are amazing, the tours are great organised. Breakfast was also very good. I have to make a special applause for the kitchen - all the meals at restaurant are delicious and so good.
Beautiful, peaceful hotel. A little oasis in Puerto Maldonado. The staff was great and helpful all the way. The food provided was delicious. The squirrel visiting the balcony in the morning was the cherry on top of the cake.

I really enjoyed my two-weeks stay at Rosa's house ! :D Rosa and Elvis are beautiful people, very kind and friendly ! Kira and Kuka, the two dogs, are very friendly and affectionate too ^^ It's a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, the perfect location to relax, rest and meditate or going on adventures in the jungle. Rosa's house is at walking distance from the centre of Puerto Maldonado (about 1 hour) but if you don't want to walk, you can take a tuktuk or a mototaxi passing by. I highly recommend this place !
Breakfast is plenty and tasty. They even had Nutella! A water fountain is available in the reception area, very convenient to refill your bottle. The hotel was quiet at night, beds were comfy.
A little bit of luxury in the jungle. Helpful staff.
