The location is very scenic. To wake up to a sunrise over mountain ranges and the fields across from the lodge was a great experience. There was only one other family at the lodge on the night that we stayed, so we pretty much had the entire house for ourselves. The house was very well maintained. The library, kitchen, patio, the room, everything was just perfect. The hosts welcomed us with a bottle of local wine and cheese and fruits platter. They gave us great information about the area. Offering a garden and mountain view, Close to Rolleston shops and Mountains is set in Burnham, 43 km from Canterbury Museum and 43 km from Hagley Park. Very cosy and delightfully posh box. Heaps of towels & pillows. Modern and fresh. Everything you would need. Note there is no wifi - but was no problem for me as Spark n/w coverage was 100%.

Boasting accommodation with a plunge pool, mountain view and a balcony, Fiery Peak Eco-Retreat with Wood-fired Hot tub is set in Geraldine. Wonderful spot near Geraldine. We stayed 1 night, and enjoyed the hot tub and the cold night. :)
