Ryan and family made this finca a truly wonderfully place to stay! Hiking the volcano was an adventure, we will not forget. Nice to have dinner with all guests together!
It's a family-run Hostel/Homestay with very friendly owners. Super cool and very authentic, located in the jungle where you have screaming monkeys in the morning and fireflies in the evening. Amazing view over Concepción volcano. You can eat here or at Comedor Cristina 300m north fairly cheap. Tap water is drinkable. It's pretty quiet and not as frequented as other parts of the island. Showers and toilets are in the rooms, just as fans and power plugs. It's near to San Ramón waterfall and Maderas hiking trail.
Comfortable bed and a personal fan. Was not as hot as in other hostels on the island. Right next to the beach on the main road, but super peaceful and quiet.
The location and atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful, a stunning place to watch the sunset. It is very handy to be able to rent a moto there as you will end this to get around.

The hosts are amazing. They are so caring and attentive, also they have lived an incredible life and Daniela is fascinating to talk to. Her breakfasts are luxurious! The property is beautiful, the area is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. The gardens are spectacular. I really enjoyed learning about Daniela and Tony’s lifestyle here. My room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable.
An amazing place to chill out, peaceful and quiet. Walking distance to the town. Wonderful hosts. Delicious food. Everything can be arranged (tours, bikes, etc). Not many people around, which for us is a plus.
We absolutely loved our time at Jose’s house. He is the best host and will share all the information about the island with you and organise everything you may need. He made us feel at home straight away and we didn’t want to leave this magical place. The room was very spacious - very luxurious in our backpacker opinion. The kitchen is great and has everything you may need. The location is great too - very quiet but walking distance to town. We would recommend this place to everyone. Jose, muchas gracias por todo! What an amazing oasis. This is definitely the place to stay in Ometepe. The community of Balgue is the best area where you find good food, good coffee/deserts, scooter rentals and close to everywhere in the island. The property is very well kept and located in a forest setting. Very quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast and a basket of fruits that you can help yourself to all day and Free. Highly recommend it.
