We stayed here just for one night while we were travelling in our camper van and needed some respite. We were so lucky to have found this place. Very reasonable room. Comfortable and warm. Staff were very welcoming and kind. There's a restaurant for guests. The pasta was lovely and fresh, we also had delicious bruschetta and the cheese cake was the best I've had in a long time. The staff take pride in the food. Our waiter was really nice and gave us a shot of pistachio liquor after our meal (yum!). They catered really well for my partner who is vegetarian too without making a fuss. Generous breakfast in the morning in a cozy setting. Would have stayed longer if we could have. Located in Montaione, the recently renovated Poggio Giulia provides accommodation 48 km from Santa Maria Novella and 48 km from Pitti Palace. We liked the peaceful elevated location with beautiful views on the countryside, great swimming pool, by the Via Francigena (walks), 10-15 min from supermarkets, market, eating places, train station (1h to Firenze). The buildings have got character, the accommodation is very clean, has every comfort (good beds) and facility including garden furniture and private parking. The owners are super hosts, kind and attentive to everyone's needs. We enjoyed the interaction with them and with other guests. We would strongly recommend this place.

Fantastic family who owns the property. So friendly. Invited me to the family dinner that night but took them up on a local suggestion that was great.

In the Cervo Valley, so the views were beautiful. The staff were AMAZING and very helpful. The Country House is incredible - we spent hours exploring the different rooms. We loved the blending of the old and modern. Dinner was exceptional! Compliments to the chef and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Breakfast was delicious, too.

Located 2.6 km from Spiaggia La Marossa, 6.7 km from Carrara Convention Center and 17 km from Castello San Giorgio, IL CASALE DEL MAGRA offers accommodation set in Ameglia. The location was gorgeous with a view of the mountains and particularly the marble mountain of Carrara. It was 5 minutes from a lovely beach. The hotel made a reservation for us at one of the beaches including a bed and umbrella and parking which was very reasonable. We had a continental breakfast In their beautiful garden. We went to the other side, Lerici and the towns around the Bay of Poets which was only a few minutes drive. Plus the hotel is close to one of my favorite towns, Sarzana, which has a great market every Thursday.
