Built in 1902, the beautiful Chettinadu Mansion in Kāraikkudi boasts stunning architecture, Italian marble flooring and wooden furnishings. This was the most beautiful hotel & we were so well looked after, all the staff were fantastic & the dinner & breakfast were wonderful, such delicious chettinad food that is the speciality of the house. The old world atmosphere was enchanting & we wished we had stayed longer.

It is the place for a perfect stay in rural, peaceful Tamil Nadu. The beautifully renovated historic house is overlooking the temple tank. Meju was the perfect host. The entire team was amazing. The traditional South Indian meals prepared by her mother-in-law were delicous! We cannot wait to come back.
