Natasha managed to both serve us breakfast and clean our rooms at the same time. (So we went back to a perfect bungalow with clean floors and made beds.) Only five bungalows, so always quiet. Wall and an electronic gate so felt super safe. Beautiful pool (very big and clean) with an attached jacuzzi spa. Birds (including humming birds), a friendly cat, a range of cool bugs and lizards--this was close to nature but with every possible convenience (we had coffee in the room, a microwave, refrigerator, and a stove). Absolutely the nicest place we've been in the Caribbean. Would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Guadeloupe.

It is about 10 minutes by car for shopping in the market in the town of Saint Francois. You can buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen along the coast, you can also use the Marché La Rotonde market for local vegetables. For tourism, I recommend going to the second island, volcano, waterfalls, cocoa farm, vanilla farm... I recommend leaving early in the morning, there are big traffic jams in the capital. I definitely want to go back to Guadeloupe, there is a lot to see and do there.
