Surrounded by tranquil Hampshire countryside yet just a mile from Basingstoke, Audleys Wood Hotel provides a stately Victorian escape. Vi blev fullständigt överväldigade. Vår sista kväll i England överträffade allt! Eftersom ett garden party pågick på hotellet hade vi blivit uppgraderade till en svit (Jane Austen) som var den absolut bästa vi har bott i. Vi fick ett mycket stort sovrum och ett lika stort vardagsrum. Sängen var den mest bekväma vi har sovit i under våra resor i England, och även soffan var den bästa vi har stött på. Hotellet har en oslagbar patina eftersom det är en gammal privatbostad med vackra och något slitna inredningsdetaljer. Personalen var extremt tillmötesgående och den rikliga och fräscha frukosten serverades i ett vidunderligt vackert rum. Det är faktiskt det bästa hotell vi har bott på.

The Loft, Steep, Petersfield in Collyers Estate part of The South Downs National Park. Great location for walks (including Ashford Hangers) access to Petersfield and surrounding area. The Loft very private and comfortable, in very attractive grounds. Lovely place to spend a few nights and very convenient for us. Very helpful hosting too - thank you : -)

The Old Dairy Steep, Petersfield in Collyers Estate in the South Downs National park ligger i Petersfield, 25 km från Frensham Great Pond and Common och 28 km från Goodwood Circuit, i ett område där... Lovely little apartment, perfect for one. Good directions from host who is very accessible on site. Very reasonable price for the area.

Lane End Cottage har utsikt över trädgården och erbjuder boende med en terrass och en uteplats, 25 km från Ageas Bowl. Kevin, Jo and their children were a pleasure to meet. Very well situated cottage for visiting Winchester and Jane Austen's house, with bus service to both. We actually walked to Winchester on country paths, some by the river, and country roads! Not expensive to use taxi for Winchester. And it gives the taste of countryside and a country village (with a lovely pub, who served delicious pies!). The cottage is very well appointed, spacious, bright, very quiet, well decorated, warm (a very good heating system), comfy beds and good linen, good bathroom and a good breakfast corner (with kettle, toaster, teas, a little fridge -no microwave, but owners were happy to heat up our soup and porridge-; and they left biscuits, milk and a swiss roll).

Detta charmiga, kulturminnesmärkta georgianska hus ligger i en anlagd trädgård, 10 minuters promenad från Hooks centrum. Lovely house. Great facilities. Really enjoyable stay.

Detta romantiska lanthus har fantastiska trädgårdar, ett spa, pooler och en tennisbana. Hotellet ligger bland 26 hektar av härliga parker, bara 5 minuter från M3. Full of character, yet modern facilities and beautiful fabrics. Gorgeous gardens

The Oast House - Otium Wine Estate ligger i Alton, 6,7 km från Jane Austen's House Museum, och erbjuder en uteplats, en trädgård samt gratis WiFi. The house is unique, spacious and homely. The hosts were lovely and responsive. I particularly loved the bedding which was a high quality feather duvet with feather pillows and lovely high thread count cotton sheets. All the laundry smelled fantastic and there were bath sheets instead of bath towels so lovely and big. The bath is gorgeous- plenty wide enough for two adults and has jets to be a jacuzzi bath (though it is quite noisy when on due to the height of the ceilings and therefore how echoey the place is). We got engaged in the woods on a walk to a local pub and overall had an extremely special couple of nights away, could have easily stayed there several more!
