It was a great place to stay , excellent bed and one of the best bathrooms I have ever seen . Hannah was a marvellous host and made us very welcome .

We were made welcome by the owners who ensured we enjoyed our stay. In the evenings there is a great atmosphere in the bar being popular with the locals. As for the food it’s top quality restaurant standard. Without doubt this is the best place to stay in the area we are going to stay again in the summer

Dating from 1632, Llangoed Hall is in the picturesque Wye Valley and 12 miles from the popular market town of Brecon. The location was brilliant and served a lovely stay staff were keen to help even though they were skeleton staffed.

Many of the elegant rooms have countryside views and include period features such as beamed ceilings and traditional furniture such as four-poster or canopy beds. When the place is so exceptional, I only noticed "First World Problems": champagne glasses could have been nicer, soup was a little too hot, bread could have been brought warm.

The country house provides some units with quiet street views, and every unit is fitted with a private bathroom. The units are equipped with heating facilities.

Clifford Castle is 48 km from the country house, while Builth Castle is 24 km from the property. We stay in quite a few hotels for different reasons but this was the best night's sleep we have both had in a hotel for a very long time, possibly the best night ever! Very comfortable. Couldn't fault anything. Beautifully decorated and quiet in the countryside which we love.
