Dating from the 1580’s, Hawthorn Farm Guest House is set in a Grade II listed house, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Buxton. It offers country-house style rooms and home-cooked food. Really great accomodation with really lovely hosts, who provided a great breakfast every morning. Room was in a historical building and was very nice. Was thorougly cleaned every day, was spotless. Really enjoyed our stay.

Biggin Hall Hotel is a 3 star AA rated historic Grade II listed house of 17th Century origin with an AA awarded 1 rosette restaurant. It is set within 8 acres of grounds. We travelled to Derbyshire to visit chatworth house and booked at the hotel very last minute. We was very impressed with how we were welcomed on our arrival by very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and we were provided with a free bottle of beer and Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We also didn’t expect to receive a free packed lunch to take with us even though we only stayed for one night.

Situated within 33 km of Chatsworth House and 36 km of National Ice Centre in Shottle, Dannah Farm Country House features accommodation with seating area. It’s a beautiful, extremely well-maintained property with excellent hospitality. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Joan is a fabulous host and she works very hard to keep all the guests happy. Dannah Farm Country House is the perfect blend of luxury and homeliness. Our suite came with a private sauna and a massive hot tub, bedroom with four poster bed, dining area and lounge. The attention to detail in each room was amazing. The breakfast is delightful, made with fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to get back soon.

Set in the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams, a log fireplace in the front... Location and beauty, right in the middle of many walks in the Peak District. Would have stayed longer but a storm arrived the same day I did. Very classy place.

Set in Buxton, within 2 km of Buxton Opera House and 26 km of Chatsworth House, Fern Farm Cottages offers accommodation with barbecue facilities and free WiFi as well as free private parking for... Beautiful quiet location with a lovely 10 minute walk down the lane to Buxton and a lovely evening at the Cheshire Cheese. Staff were very helpful and accommodated our late arrival. Cottage was very sweet and just what we were hoping for. Rooms were lovely and comfortable and everything was clean and nicely presented. Very convenient parking in the courtyard outside.
