Originally built as a summer residence by the Duke of Argyll in 1870, Dungallan Country House Bed & Breakfast is situated on the edge of the town of Oban. The tranquil and secluded, yet commanding position means that the hotel offers superb views to 3 sides. Oban’s promenade and the town’s shops are just a 10-minute stroll away. An absolutely fabulous place with a magnificent view, couple of minutes walk from the town. Quiet and relaxing. The hosts were very welcoming. We’re very happy to have found this gem! Our stay was perfect.

The property has sea and mountain views, and is 32 km from Benmore Botanic Garden. The country house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. It’s cozier and nicer than expected, the pictures don’t show how remarkable this place it I’m really happy I’ve found it by accident. We stayed with my family and my sister and her kids. No one wanted to leave….
