Make sure to go out at night to see the stars and the lights of the village down the valley. The host is nice and made sure we were comfortable even tough the village lost power during the night. Don’t hesitate for a minute and book, just bring warm clothes and start a fire to make sure to sleep comfortably because it gets cold at night. We had a wonderful time!

It was was clean and spacious with glass sliding doors to the veranda. The view overlooking the river and valley was beautiful. This made waking up to an amazing sunrise. We saw many wonderful birds from our room. The restaurant was conveniently located at the top of the property with more views and had many dishes to choose from. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to others. Thank you

Beautiful house in the middle of the Dota valley. You can't beat having a 180 degree view. The apartment is very modern and clean. Parking is right outside. It's very quiet and we even saw glow worms at night. The area is good for bird watching.
The pool was lovely and the hiking trails behind the property. Beautiful peaceful safe feeling place for the whole family.
Check in staff were very friendly. The pool area was quiet and beautiful to sit around and read. Beds were comfortable. Good Sized Bathroom with very nice shower. The air conditioning unit made a peaceful white noise sound that blocked any outside noises quite well. We were very happy with our one night stay.
The cottage is very cosy with everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. The location is really peaceful at the end of the road with amazing views and lots of birds in the garden. This really is the perfect place for those looking for peace and quiet in nature. The host helps you with plenty of suggestions what to do. Upon arrival we were so charmed by the cottage and the nearby surroundings that we decided to stay longer than planned.
Very luxurious hostel in a quiet neighbourhood that feels pretty safe. Nice beds with curtains and very nice shower with shampoo and everything. The restaurant is good, but expensive.
This is the perfect spot for people on a budget who want to hit the hiking trails and national parks in the area. I hitchhiked to the Chirripo trailhead and back with ease. There are supermarkets at walking distance. The place is beautiful, quiet, right next to a river. Rooms were great temperature. You can see toucans while having breakfast :)
The hotel is set in extensive gardens, close to the airport but still quiet. Our executive room was clean and comfortable, not luxurious by North American standards, but had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and access to the lounge, with free breakfast, daily happy hour with mixed drinks and wine, and an unlimited supply of water. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Cariari Plaza, with lots of great restaurants with outdoor seating.
Gorgeous hostel located in the west of the city. Very peaceful and quiet - not what I was expecting from a hostel at all! The hostel was very secure and the area was really safe. My partner and I enjoyed running around the local park in the morning. You are a little bit out of the city, which can be annoying in the evening, but be prepared to walk or get Ubers around and that’s fine. Breakfast and Wi-Fi were exceptional.
