The house provides everything you could possibly need. We loved the fancy antique dishes and serving ware that goes so well with the house. Next time I’d bring something to cook so we could dine on the massive dining table and also bake an apple pie using the apples from the laden apple trees on the property. A stroll down to Old Kempton Distillery for whisky and gin tastings and lunch was awesome too.

It was very charming, unique and you felt like you had stepped back in time. We were greeted by the resident chicken Tuk Tuk and of course, the manager. The friendly manager brought us farm fresh eggs and an ample supply of breakfast food for our stay. The Coachman’s Cottage was in excellent shape for being almost 200 years old. It was the perfect, quiet and lovely stay for our last night in Tassie. Would have liked to stay longer to explore the area.

The cottage is in the middle of a large estate. It is at 25 min drive to Hobart airport, and at about the same distance from the central part of Hobart. It is a very airy house. It is equipped with everything necessary and we enjoyed our shot stay in a very rainy day.

Fabulous location to go to Stanley and the Tarkine Drive. The cabin is so cosy, really appreciated the amenities and it felt really private even though the main house is close by.
