Property is exceptional, an old barn turned into loft. Plenty of space, 3 bathrooms and very clean. Breakfast was the highlight of the morning, each day they brought it in a basket with fresh flowers. Coffee, milk, juice and sugar were replenished every day and more than enough dishes and cutlery is available. De-humidifier worked its magic so no dampness even though the climate on Azores is very humid. Friendly host and 10/10 experience!

The accomodation is simply perfect. New, modern look, large space even in the bathroom, high quality air condition devices, comfy beds, everything was very clean, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast is super and we even got a basket of tasty things on the kitchen table. We had an incredible stay at Pico do Refúgio, enjoying the unique experience of being the only guests for the week in this charming former tea factory. The location, atmosphere, fireplace, and cozy interior truly made our trip special. It was such a pleasure to return after a busy day to a place that felt like home.
Ana was a fantastic host, and the service was exceptional. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, and after a couple of delayed flights, we were warmly welcomed with appetizers upon arrival. We especially appreciated the privacy and peacefulness of the place, as well as the stunning surroundings, including Santa Bárbara Beach and Lagoa do Fogo. Simply amazing!

It’s a beautiful, big farm house close to the ocean. The rooms were spacious, and the kitchen well equipped.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Hotel was quiet and peaceful. Rooms were new and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the breakfast that was sufficient and high quality. The restaurant has nice decor and a small garden right on the outside. Location of the hotel is right in the city center. Overall our stay was really enjoyable and everything went perfectly. Huge thanks to the great staff that made us feel welcome!

Beautifully designed small hotel with lovely grounds, close to the airport and downtown Ponta Delgada, but very quiet and peaceful. Ample parking. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, the rooms were spotless, well-equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, different kinds of bread, meats, cheeses, cakes, etc. and egg options cooked to order. We didn't have time to try out any of the spa facilities so cannot comment on these.

The common areas are great with couches, tables and TVs. You can also get cheap drinks at the hostel. We never once waited to use the showers or toilets and the bathrooms were very clean.
The breakfast was really good but it was the same for every day so if you stay for longer you'll probably grow tired of it at some point like we did.
This is not a party hostel and most people wake up early to go hiking and exploring the island so it is very quiet.

I'd been before in other hostels and this one is a luxury hostel. It'd really quiet at night since Azores is a place for nature, not partying. It's exceptionally clean. Bed sheets and towels are changed each day. It feels like a shared apartment with people from all over the world. Most of them search for nature and quietness. There is no reception but the staff lives in the house behind the garden so there's no problem.
