The food was delicious, the surroundings were beautiful in nature, the bikes are freely available for kids and adults, including baby seats on some grown up bikes. The facilities and room were comfortable with a well appointed kitchen, log burning fire and comfortable furniture.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
The very warm welcoming! And after a day hiking, to simply enjoy a little moment sitting with a drink and talking with the host. The place feels so peaceful and for sure, it's a good place to rest. I received as well some really good advice about where to go for dinner. The breakfast was splending. For sure, you feel cared for!
Everything was meticulous and clean. Each day started on a good note with a proper hot shower and delicious breakfast. It’s been a while since a hotel has exceeded expectations. We went low season (Nov) so it was very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful and thoughtfully designed setting with a pool and gorgeous surrounding fauna. Location was a little further from Odeceixe beach than we expected (a short drive away) but was not an issue as it was so lovely and worth it. Highly recommend.
I needed a rest day and was going to stay 2 nights which turned into three. Dormitory night 1 and own room others. Nadine and I think Mattias is his name are very nice and have a positive attitude. Cozy place to stay! Nice balconies and the roof terrace. The city is quiet and peaceful and perfect for a rest day.

We stayed in one of the maisonette houses. Comfortable lounge with top of the range TV (much appreciated after a few days hiking the Fishermans’ Trail), nice kitchen (not used as the hotel comes with a superb breakfast), and a luxurious bathroom. The upstairs a a comfortable king size bed and a small terrace. We are at their BBQ restaurant that night. The whole stay greatly surpassed expectations and was excellent value for money.
Amazing and beautiful place if you're looking for a quiet getaway. Isabelle was so nice and helpful and the place is perfect if you are tired of all the restaurants and big city comosion and want to be able to cook your own dinner for a change. We only stayed one night, but there was a nice beach and hiking routs close to the hotel.
Loved it! Very quiet, peaceful, pretty, super clean, very good equipped. Very friendly, welcoming host.
