Lovely modernized country home with old world charm. We drove all day from the Alentejo region with plans to go to Porto that night but were tired of driving and decided to take a detour from our plans and found ourselves at Casa Valxisto. What a happy detour! I loved everything about this charming accommodation friendly, helpful staff, delicious meals, comfy suite, and a beautiful walk through the old stone village.

We loved our stay and only wish we stayed longer! The location is beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed a picnic dinner, a bottle of wine and breakfast during our stay. We hope to come back soon!

We received a warm welcome. And even though we were the only guests, they still made a lot of efforts with us.
It's a bit of the beaten track and very peaceful.
We were received exceptionally. The hosts are dedicated and attentive. A word of attention to Mr Luis and Filipe who provided me with an excellent conversation / company. The pool was sublime and breakfast was perfect. 2 days of peace and quiet. Amazing place!
a beautifully and very tasteful recently restored Quinta. surrounded by winyards,kiwi and lush plants. it’s absolutely quiet with sun beds and chairs to relax outside.

we travelled by bicycle and had a problem so the owner came by car and picked us up in the village. he was extremely helpful and nice. thanks so much.
