The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Accomodation was fairly basic but comfortable, my room was a decent size.
Taxi driver had difficulty finding it as arrived late at night, but manager on the property was accomodating when called…for simple accomodation it was clean and good value….and very quiet at night.
Downsides are there are a few mozzies around, but the owner provided mosquito coils.
It is a bit of a hike to the centre, so realistically unless you have your own transport you need to hire a motor bike.
Don’t expect luxury but it was clean and comfortable.
We loved the pool and the AC, and the bed was super comfy! The staff was lovely and always very helpful. Everything was sparking clean. The room had a kettle, fridge, 2 mugs and 2 glasses, and there is also a small common kitchen with bowls, cutlery and water dispenser.
Excellent location, walking distance from the main touristy street along the beach but far enough to be peaceful and quiet during the night.
Great value for money! We'll definitely stay there the next time we're in Langkawi 😊
Very clean room that was spacious enough for two people and two large bags. Bed was very comfortable and the surrounding area is very quiet, it’s around a 15 minute walk to the beach or you can get a grab for very cheap. The aircon is great the room cools down quickly. So convenient having laundry in the complex too. The pool is the best part it is so quiet and peaceful I loved relaxing here thank you!
This isn't a luxury accommodation, but you'll get the friendliest and most welcoming hosts (4 cats and their humans Marc and Dee). Situated in a quiet local neighbour away from the tourist area, this is a great place to recharge. Our villa was clean and homey without a TV, which provided a great way to recharge in nature. It was amazing to be surrounded by wild Malayan Squirrels and Dusky Leaf Monkeys (both threatened species), along with the usual macaques, birds, lizards and cats etc. A wonderful stay all around!

The location is quite remote very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are basic as expected by the price.Strong hot shower, house keeping daily as required. Peaceful beach and grounds with hammocks- nothing else .Don’t expect luxury ,just peace and quiet. I swam in the sea murky but acceptable. No restaurant but within 10 mins is a great restaurant called Smiling Buffalo for excellent breakfast/lunch and towards the sea a restaurant called Tapaz.if you want to walk into town over the little bridge it takes about 20 minutes but not a bad walk.
We enjoyed the secluded location, very quiet and peaceful a little off the main roads near Pentai. Staff was incredibly helpful and picked us up/drop us off at the airport for our flights. Everything went very smoothly. The pool and the luxury bathtub were amazing.
Beautiful, peaceful, nature and views. Characterful but luxury accommodation and wonderful service from the staff. I’ve been coming to Langkawi for nearly 30 years and this will now be my go-to place to stay.
It’s conveniently located next to Cenang for the beach and all the amenities (you could walk) but far enough away from the hustle and bustle so you have the peace and quiet.
