Also helped us getting to the tyre service when we found out that one of tyres had a puncture.
Nice quiet location. Backed onto rainforest. Nice balcony to watch the thunderstorm from. Big rooms, A/C available.
The local guide, Sampa, was an absolute legend and offered to show me around Ratnapura even though I hadn’t previously enquired. He is somewhat affiliated with the accommodation, so he just turned up. Helped me navigate the hospital, and fast. (Needed a vaccination). Spending time with him ended up being a highlight of the trip.
Since Ratnapura is a very busy city (loud and smelly), it,s nice to be in a quiet place away from the bustle of the town. Summer Ridge is a 12 minute walk away from a main street up on a green hill among tropical vegetation and fantastic birds. It,s nice and quiet. If you have a choice, take the room with the balcony.

The most delicious coconut pancakes I've had! The roti, dhal, sambal, chutney also were exceptionally tasty and beautifully prepared and presented. Also a very peaceful, open sided restaurant with mountain views to eat in.
Peaceful location but still easy access to the town. One of a few hotels working towards a European standard. Sampa Wayo Tourism are working hard to grow their reputation.
So cosy, clean, peacefull and confortable. The owner is super friendly and super handy, making sure you will have the best travel expérience.
