Great location to see Mt Fuji, walkable to Chureito Pagoda and Honcho street. It's a traditional japanese house, but there's a lot of attention to detail to make things comfortable. The host was extremely generous and picked us up and dropped us off at Kawaguchiko Station which was a huge help with all our luggage. Also she helped us plan which bus to arrive and which bus to leave on which was awesome. Definitely would stay again

What did I like? It's a difficult question...Where to even begin! A magical stay at the house of a Shinto priest, the 27th generation of their family's religious practice. We feel truly honored to be hosted by him. And who would have known that a Shinto priest would also be a master of Booking? Oh btw he also has a sweet cat called Kuro. He had prepared the room so spotlessly clean and so wonderfully proper, and offered us his bicycles to go around. Definitely recommend!

I had an incredible stay at this wonderful family-run hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed with warm hospitality. The family Juan, Tsubasa and their mother managing the property went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They even greeted us with a thoughtful goodie bag filled with delicious Japanese sweets, and in a truly touching gesture, they gave my daughter an envelope with a small amount of cash as part of a Japanese tradition during New Year. It was such a heartfelt moment and made our stay even more special. We were fortunate to stay during a significant moment for the hotel, as they had recently reopened after being closed for some time. Despite this, their service was flawless and deeply personal. Juan made the effort to write memos in our native language, which added such a thoughtful and special touch to our experience. It truly showed how much care and effort they put into ensuring every guest feels welcomed. Another highlight was their complimentary pick-up and drop-off service to Kawaguchiko Station. They were so accommodating that they even arranged an early drop-off before 9 am so we could catch a long-distance bus. This level of attentiveness made our travels so much easier and stress-free. The warm, personal touches, combined with the convenience and heartfelt service, made this stay truly unforgettable. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a homely and unique experience. Thank you for making our visit so special—I can’t wait to return!
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
The best place during our stay in Japan. Felt just like home. Love the layout of the house. It was very clean and comfortable, many facilities provided. Check-in & check out were at the Cortege cafe nearby. Nice quiet area, with partial view of the great Fuji. The owner was very friendly & accommodating - fast reply, easy to communicate. Would love to come back again one day.
The house is exactly what the pictures show! It is spacious for a family of 3. Best part is the great view of Mt Fuji from the 2nd floor balcony. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There is a convenient store, MacDonald’s and several restaurants within 5 mins drive. But might be a bit far if you’re not driving. The facility of the house is nice and clean. The owner usually replies fast and communicates well.
Old Japanese house in the middle of the countryside, so very quiet and soothing. Hiro was a great host, and the facilities are very comfortable and complete, with kitchen, lobby, bike rental, etc. Well situated and clean.
Very nice, spacious, quiet, and clean apartment with many good utilities. The whole apartment basically has a nice tatami floor and for sleeping there are futons which are also quite nice. The location is very convenient allowing easy and quick access to surrounding sightseeing and hiking places (i.e., with a car). Supermarkets are within walking distance. Great value for the money. Overall, we had an excellent stay.
Such a wonderful place and hosts! It is located in the countryside, very local and peaceful. The hosts are very nice and so helpful with tips for our trips, and even drove us to the station on our last day. Onsen is very nice as well.
The atmosphere is so great, everything made me felt like home even i was far way from hotel. The share area and bathroom are so clean. The view from my room was even stunning- Mt Fuji😁
Boss was so nice- allowed us for early checking in after coming back from hiking and no extra charge for luggage storage.
Would recommend for people who plans for hiking but likes to stay in a more quiet place (two stations away from Kawaguchiko).
Remember to spend little for the Mt Fuji view at the train station, it was breath-taking!
The property is so clean! There are common areas which are quiet and peaceful. Shops nearby to grab snacks. The host is a lovely woman who is so helpful to all who stay.
The staff were so lovely, very welcoming, kind and helpful. Lovely onsen. Quiet and peaceful. Got to use the bikes. Would drop us at the train station. Helped with our laundry. Recommended places to eat. Traditional Japanese experience and breakfast.
Lovely hostel, feels like a hotel with how nice it is. Beautiful fresh and clean rooms, lovely communal kitchen and lounge space. The location is great as the hostel is on the famous road up to Mount Fuji. It is quiet, peaceful and a lovely getaway from the busy city.
The environment is very peaceful and quiet even though there is a theme park within walking distance. Hotel location is just 10 mins walk from the train station. Breakfast was very good and our room was upgraded, with an extra fee, for Mount Fuji view.
