One of the best holidays of my entire life. I know it might sound bombastic, but as someone who has travelled extensively, I can safely tell you that La Casa Paterna met all my expectations and exceeded them by far!
It's in a super location—quiet and beautiful—with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is outstanding, different every day and cooked to perfection. We ended up dining on-site several times, and the food was also incredible. It was a perfect example of how superior Italian food is, especially in Umbria and Tuscany.
Our room was genuinely big, and the bed was ultra comfy. It was also cleaned to the highest standards every single day.
Last but certainly not least... the pool!
Locanda Del Molino is just a 10-minute drive from Cortona and features a characteristic restaurant and pizzeria where you can sample authentic cuisine from the region in a cozy atmosphere.

The breakfast was not huge. But it had cereals and Steven made us fried eggs and omelette to order, which was good enough for us. Adding some fruits would have been nice.
The rooms are large, spotless with a large bathroom. A lot of thoughtful amenities like slippers, heated floors in the bathroom, fridge with complimentary drinks etc.
Short distance from Cortona so lots of restaurants and shops.
