We arrived early and we could check in, Stefano was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The food in the Restaurant was delicious and would highly recommend eating here.

This location is truly wonderful! Such a beautiful B&B and apartment. We stayed for seven nights and traveled with our dog. Everything was very complete. Much attention to detail throughout the B&B. Our apartment had a private patio and there was also a seating area by the (very nice) pool. On arrival we had ordered a selection of Tuscan pork and cheese from the local area and it comes highly recommended! Our hosts Sheila, Sylvia and Roberta made sure our stay was very pleasant: they are incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast was also very tasty each time and it had lots of choices. Dinner made by Sylvia is also highly recommended. There are good hiking possibilities in the near area.

We had a fabulous 4-night stay at this elegantly furnished mansion. Since we arrived during low season, they offered us a room upgrade, which we are really grateful for. Although the standard room is beautiful and comfortable (we saw it), the upgraded room we received was absolutely astounding - extremely spacious, with a huge bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, and a balcony. The view of the Podere La Rocca vineyards is superb - both under the golden sun rays, as well as enveloped in a mysterious fog.
The breakfast served in the restaurant is delicious and offers a wide variety of high-quality options, with all hot dishes cooked on order.
We also loved the fine-dining dinners we had in the restaurant and the wine - their Nobile de Montepulciano Riserva (2017) is a must-try.
All staff is very kind, always smiling and making conversation and very accommodating.
The parking is shaded and extremely safe, as it's on the farm's grounds.
And the whole domain is just lovely - a vast greenery area to explore and relax in. We'd love to come back in a warmer season to relax at their swimming pool and have the famous dinner in the vineyard!

Beautiful house with amazing view. We have been to Tuscany a few times and this was by far the best location we had. The house was fully equipped with everything imaginable.
With a fully gated, large garden, it is also a petfriendly location.
A 15-20 minute drive to the old village with great restaurants, while the house is quiet, private and surrounded by nature. Leo and Elena were great hosts, and we would be very happy to come again.

This is seriously one beautiful place. Extraordinary view out over the city. Has a charming homely feel to it. Watching the sun set in the front lawn was a wonderful highlight of our time there. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Our stay was really peaceful. Cinzia spoilt us with a wonderful breakfast with homemade cakes and biscuits and Sonia filled our minds with the amazing history of Castiglion Fiorentino and how this amazing house was renovated by her whole family.
I had an absolutely charming stay at Porta Romana! The Tuscan village had stunning
panoramas that took my breath away, and the bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The
neighborhood was tranquil, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing retreat. However, I
encountered a couple of issues, such as the absence of toilet paper, which was a bit
inconvenient. Furthermore, the narrow streets made parking a bit challenging. Despite these
minor drawbacks, I enjoyed my time in Porta Romana and cherished the scenic beauty it
offered.

Il Trottapiano home is a wonderful place to relax for a few days. the location is perfect, quiet but still very close to the restaurants. We have had a few lovely days and would recommend this place to anyone.
