The place is located in a secluded location with farmlands in the surrounding area, very quiet and peaceful. Alice and George were friendly hosts with good advice of the nearby attractions to visit. You get a great view over Ullswater approx. 45 min hike away.
Stayed just the one night to break the journey home to Scotland, but will definitely be staying again. Rather than rambling on, I'll list the good points.
Spotless room.
Peaceful and very quiet location. A big plus for me.
Relaxed and informal.
Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Served in your room.
Good communications from owners.
Good pub in the village, just a short stroll away.
The owners have obviously made every effort (and succeeded) to make this a first class B&B
Bad points: There aren't any.
Location was fabulous - quiet & peaceful. Accommodation was very large & well set out with plenty of cupboard space & an amazing bathroom.
The local pub "The Otter" was extremely friendly with good beers and a large menu. The food was delicious.
Very cosy and clean , has everything you need, comfortable and the hot tub was an added luxury especially after hiking all day , would definitely stay here again highly recommended
Great property in a beautiful, quiet countryside area, tucked away. Facilities were great, super comfy bed - Perfect for couples! Lovely hosts who we met and were super friendly and helpful. This was our base for exploring the Lake District - with everything within pretty much an hour of the property.
Great location. Very quiet and peaceful, despite being in the centre of Penrith. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, with a lot of options.
The coach house was beautiful, even better than the pictures! We had a real few days of pure relaxation as a family surrounded by beautiful countryside. We loved the hot tub & large outdoor areas perfect for accommodating all 13 of us for a BBQ. Inside is equally perfect too & really gives you the wow factor and a sense of luxury!
Love the Pod. Our second stay. Spotlessly clean. The location in the heart of the countryside is beautiful. Quiet and peaceful.
