Hosts were lovely. Everything had been thought of to make our stay perfect. The room booked had a balcony with good views to the South Downs. It was a nice room with an extra large bed. It was serviced and equipped with fresh towels and refreshments every day. The breakfast choices were varied, beautifully cooked and presented and more than ample. Nothing was too much trouble for Sally and Douglas. Would certainly stay again and would definitely recommend.

Lovely cute b&b, the staff were great, very attentive. The facilities are wonderful, the bar was well stocked and there are fresh flowers everywhere - a lovely touch! The breakfast was made to order and delicious, as well as fresh fruit, pastries and juice for you to help yourself. Would definitely recommend Saltmarsh farmhouse!!

Our room was beautiful and the food very good indeed. However the icing on the cake was the staff, they were professional but good fun and they made our stay. We would never hesitate to revisit them.

It’s a great little get away for a night or two. Perfect place and sit back and nothing!
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
This was my second stay at Cleavers Lyng, and although it was just for one night for work, I couldn't have been more looked after. The hosts are excellent, the location quiet, the views lovely and the property wonderful. With the village just down the road all your needs are catered for, the breakfast is wonderful and a good choice between cold & hot. The Cleavers Lyng is now my automatic go to establishment when ever I'm in the area for work.
Fabulous rural location that was quiet and peaceful . Had exclusive access to a patio / dining area that we used exlensively . In addition we could stroll around the large well maintained gardens of the hosts property full of bird song and with sheep grazing over the fence - heaven for me
Hosts were delightful and attentive . Stables was cosy but with a very well equipped kitchen .
