I liked the breakfast food itself and that they accommodated a delivery of flowers to the room. This really made my girlfriend so happy, and made the stay so enjoyable! It was a wonderful experience, and felt like staying in a country home.
The location is perfect for a trip to Keswick and the hotel has lovely grounds, I would stay again if I visited another time.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.

A lovely quiet location but close to the Lake District fells and the Cumbrian Coast. Friendly staff, dog friendly and a lovely country house hotel. Superb breakfast cooked to order and a great selection of evening meals too. Room was compact and comfortable.

The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a lovely night's stay. Very cosy living space with comfy sofa. The kitchen and bathroom were all new and nicely kept. The host was really nice and friendly too. The place is set in lovely and peaceful countryside, yet very easy to get to from the main roads. It's also perfect for dogs, as our dog is reactive to sounds in hotels/b&b's etc but as the walls are so thick and it's so quiet, he slept through without barking.
Really good location with brilliant access to lakes and the seaside. The caravan park was very quiet and due to very little pollution the sky at night looked amazing!
