No breakfast, closest restaurant is 14 km away in Merida
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
It was the only proper Spanish home (pensione) we stayed at and we loved everything about it. It’s in a quiet town and Pepe and Carmen are wonderful hosts. Pepe made us some delicious evening meals which we ate in the delightful courtyard garden. I swam in the pool one afternoon which was small but also delightful (and refreshing). Just lovely in every way.
Wonderful place to stay, we would thoroughly recommend it. Pepe and his wife were excellent hosts and the evening meals were really special and very good value - especially the fish with potatoes (see photo). It's located in a peaceful village, only 15 mins away from the sights in Merida (which are well worth visiting).
Loved the property, it's style and decor. Pepe and his wife were attentive and the dinner on our first night was both very good and great value for money. The property is in the village but in a quiet location. Room was large with a sofa and fridge. The outside area though small has such a collection of plants along with the plunge pool make it feel much larger. It was the ideal place to have breakfast.
Owners delightful and helpful, a very very peaceful location far from the madding crowd sums it up, if you are looking for a proper Spanish experience then let these people welcome you into their home, we loved it. Beds to die for.
