Breakfast was great everyday. Dennis and Kari made whatever we wanted to eat. It's always warm enough to eat outside in the shade.
The location was very good. There are 3 restaurants within a block and it was only a 4.5 minute walk to a long, wide and very quiet beach.

both the room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable, and it had air conditioning.
The breakfast is delicious, the best we had during our 2-weeks travel around Costa Rica!
We haven’t dined in the restaurant there but the bar in the garden is great! Especially that there is not really where to go around town after dark (which is a big advantage as Puerto Carrillo is calm and peaceful) :)
And last but not least, very kind and helpful staff!

The family is great. Lovely people that will try to accommodate you in the best way possible. When I wasn't feeling well, they'd even do groceries and cook some simple meals! Have stayed with them for 5 weeks. They were happy to share travel tips, do activities together, run an extra cycle of laundry when requested, etc. Especially considering the price and the beautiful and fairly quiet location, I'd definitely come back! Thank you!!
A really great place above Carillo beach. We had room 2 with a view over the ocean. Nice patio with a hammock and chairs to relax. Only 5min walk to the beautiful beach. Breakfast was very delicious with four options to choose from. It was also very quiet and our host Roberto was really very accommodating. We really enjoyed our three day stay here.
The property was very nice around, really nice. You can se monkey swinging on the trees, iguana running around, some pretty parrots. There are hammocks to relax in, fairly quiet during day time. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. It's quite close to the beach, may be 10min walking max, and the beach is really really lovely, much better, cleaner, and quieter than Samara, though Samara is 10min driving away.
Stunning views, very quiet, monkeys to be observed, nice pool, nice couple who cares very well for their guests
