The view at the front of the house is absolutely spectacular! We could see all 4 of the other islands within the central group of the Azores, amazing! With Sao Jorge and Faial in the foreground, Pico behind it with its volcano Pico that we could see and all the way to the left we could also see Terceira. No house in front of us, just green lush terrain. The house seems to have been recently renovated and the interior is really beautiful and tastefully done. It is a spacious house, with separate kitchen and separate dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to prepare our meals there for several days. The bed is situated in the beautiful spacious living room and is very comfortable, we slept great! The small coffee corner in the front room of the diningroom is a beautiful lookout post in any weather, but especially on a rainy day. In the large living room there is also a corner set up for yoga or gymnastics exercises, very nice! At the back of the house we saw also a BBQ, which we didn't use, but is a nice extra.

Out the door just to the right and you coups walk up the Caldeira. Fantastic garden with view at Sao Jorge, Pico (when the weather is clear) and Faial. And breakfast was the perfect start of the day. The location was easily accessed and on a quieter part of the island. Although still within a short walk of a supermarket and taxi stands. The grounds and views are incredible. The cottages are newly renovated and in excellent upkeep. The location receives ocean breezes and was very comfortable during the time of our stay. The arrangement of the cottages provides for ample privacy. Kitchen facilities and refrigerator are a plus. Our hosts were kind and made us feel welcome from the start, checked in on us while not being intrusive.
