We could see all 4 of the other islands within the central group of the Azores, amazing! With Sao Jorge and Faial in the foreground, Pico behind it with its volcano Pico that we could see and all the way to the left we could also see Terceira. No house in front of us, just green lush terrain. The house seems to have been recently renovated and the interior is really beautiful and tastefully done. It is a spacious house, with separate kitchen and separate dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to prepare our meals there for several days. The bed is situated in the beautiful spacious living room and is very comfortable, we slept great! The small coffee corner in the front room of the diningroom is a beautiful lookout post in any weather, but especially on a rainy day. In the large living room there is also a corner set up for yoga or gymnastics exercises, very nice! At the back of the house we saw also a BBQ, which we didn't use, but is a nice extra.

The cottage is clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the welcome pack. Steffen and Karen were very accommodating when our flight time changed at the last minute, which was very much appreciated. They provided lots of information about the island, which helped us plan our week, spent exploring the island on foot and by bus. The cottage is conveniently placed for good walks, the bus stop and the local Graciosa is a lovely island to unwind and enjoy the countryside.

The arrangement of the cottages provides for ample privacy. Kitchen facilities and refrigerator are a plus. Our hosts were kind and made us feel welcome from the start, checked in on us while not being intrusive.
