We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and large. It was family-friendly (we brought an infant), and the owners/staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty English fare. We liked the location also: close to Whitby, feels very private and secluded in the woods, but less than a 15-min walk from the closest pub. Would recommend!

The Wood Cottage has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Scarborough, 14 km from Peasholm Park. We loved our stay in the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very comfy and the wood burning fire place was excellent. The full English breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend!

I was so impressed with our stay. The apartment was immaculate and had lots of thoughtful amenities throughout. Beautiful grounds in a very remote location. Ideal for a quiet getaway, we stayed on bonfire night for some respite for our frightened dog and didn’t hear a peep. Perfect. The staff that we met were friendly. Already looking to book again.

Liz was a great hard working hostess who made us feel very comfortable. she took the time to show us the Alpaca and and herī other array of farm animals. the stay was very enjoyable and we hope to return again in the future. many thanks Liz.

Lynn cannot do enough for you. We will definitely go back. Clara is gorgeous and her and Reggie my dog became friends. House is immaculately clean and great facilities.
