Kauperhof also includes a sauna and offers massage treatments. We arrived at Kauperhof on a snowy day and it looked just beautiful. We were welcomed into the house and we even got a little welcome snack board with local delicacies, a very thoughtful gesture! As we went in December, a few bits of Christmas decorations were dotted around the main living space, which we really liked. The house is spacious and offers a lot of space to spend quality time with the family. The sauna was perfect and one of the reasons we went (pool was closed for obvious reasons). We didn't want to go to a busy spa hotel during a pandemic, but the sauna was used by one family at a time and disinfecting/cleaning products were available to clean before/after you have used the sauna to make us feel more safe. The breakfast (Broetchen) service was handy to as we didn't have to find a nearby bakery (also think it would have been quite a journey to find one that's open). The bedrooms all have proper shutters, so no light would get through (especially handy in summer) and beds very comfy. The kitchen was well equipped (plenty of glasses, cutlery, plates) and we appreciated that washing up liquid, sponge and dishwasher tabs were available. If you already bring food for breakfast etc. it makes a big difference. Overall, I would definitely go again.
