Great rural location. Relatively easy to find. Host's dad was there to meet us. When we were there the weather was cold but in summer, the large pool would be very relaxing. Large house with 4 double bedrooms (2 with ensuites). Dinner in the evening (several courses) by the host's mother. Big kitchen so we cooked our breakfast in the house.

We liked everything about it!! The staff was super nice and welcoming, they were even delivering fresh homemade bread in the morning at our door!! The property was unique and so peaceful and charming! There were 2 pools, a path near the river, we could buy their grown products from their garden, honey from their hives, eggs from their hens... We highly recommend! We would have stayed longer but has to continue our trip.
The place is magical. It has so much space to discover around the houses, fruits and veg gardens, chickens (with loads of space to roam) with beautiful gardens, fireplace in each casa, also it has amazing history too. We're definitely coming back again!
I liked cozy greetings, welcomed owners and theire cafe with excellent breakfast. Also view from the window and great location in the city center. Interior in the room was like in my grandma house or at the village, so it was comfy

The Villa is big, enough space for even group of ten. Great big kitchen with massive supplies, neverending wood for fireplace and pool for Hortex days. Perfect place to stay!
We absolutely fell in love with this leafy eco-village and our stone cottage, the surroundings are so green and well maintained and we had a restful and relaxing time by the pool and in our stone cottage. All the members of staff are super friendly and helpful. Pro tip: don't miss trying out the covilhetes (mince pies) available to order from reception in the evening. So delicious!
Such a gorgeous property nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Vila Real. It’s a little oasis of peace and tranquility off of an otherwise busy road. The 2 bedroom
House we stayed in was absolutely perfect, with a wood burning fire already roaring when we arrived. So much attention to detail at this lovely little spot. My children befriended the two hotel cats and were in heaven. I can’t say enough about this idyllic and charming spot. It’s a 5 min drive from Casa Mateus and 25 km or so from the most beautiful spots along the Douro.
