This is a very special place, unlike your average Hotel in the village. La Selvaggia is at the upper end of Mandello in the middle of the beautiful nature away from everything - almost like a mountain hut. We were in Mandello for the Moto Guzzi Festival and we really enjoyed being able to get away from all of the people and the noise when going back to the hotel in the evening. The property is very well kept and there is a beautiful pool as well. You can see in everything that this is an owner run family business. It's just got this family touch. We only got to meet Vanessa and she was super nice.
While we liked the fact that this place is a bit remote, it might not be right for everyone. It's a 7-8 minute walk from the parking up to the hotel on a nature path. Nothing crazy and a lovely walk but if you are not so stable on your feet, it's not ideal. Vanessa will be happy to offer you and your luggage a lift between the parking and the hotel (quite an experience) but of course she can't do it every time you come/go.

It was an absolutely lovely experience to stay with Elizabeth. The lodge is amazing, bed comfy and toilet and bath clean and cozy. The view from the bed is breathtaking. We had both sunny and rainy days - it didn’t matter, with a car we could easily get to town and we mainly just enjoyed overlooking Lake Como and trying the very nice and warm jacuzzi under the stars. An easy 10/10 experience.

This was a lovely apartment. A little old fashioned in its way yet charming. Views over the lake, stunning, garden tended by the couple who lived above. The weather changed rapidly but the heating was sublime, we were very cosy and warm, no daughts either. Absolutely loved it here and sad to leave!
The staff is absolutely wonderful at Charming Bellagio! The room was clean, spacious and cool. The pool was cosy and the beds around it were extremely comfortable. I have no remark at all on this wonderful place.
Our stay at Hotel Fioroni was great! The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodated all of our needs. This was a charming and cozy hotel that could offer great attention to all of the guests. We especially loved the included breakfast and cappuccino.
fantastic newly build cottage based on original design. Double windows, blinds electrically driven in almost countryside. the view from the terrace is amazing! The owners were very helpful with arrival and advise for restaurants. Already missing the place!
