Elaine and Charlie have created a sophisticated yet comfortable B&B, in a stunning heritage house secluded from the main street. The decor is stunning, the breakfasts are outstanding, the rooms are luxurious yet comfortable.
They also ensure you enjoy the sitting room as well, with all the creature comforts one could ever need, including tv with access to streaming channels, although the WiFi is good enough to watch on your devices.
They even made dinner reservations at The Red Lion pub: make sure you have the steak pie, it is fabulous.
As a family of four we loved our stay here. A beautifully spacious, cosy and comfy apartment, with quirky furnishings, it was lovely, just like the village of Culross. (LOVED the cobbled streets!)
It's location was perfect for us with a short drive over the bridge to the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies. Host Julie was so nice leaving us delicious goodies and suggesting the red lion inn for supper was fantastic! Great food and welcoming staff. We shall be back 😃
Everything was just great! Cozy interior, everything is made with love and fully corresponds to the photo. Clean and cozy, just like home... the pleasant treats were wonderful and appropriate. I also really liked the area and the cafe nearby. Thank you for your kindness!
Julie, you have made this home so comfortable and unique. Sometimes when we go away on a self catering trip we do not know what to take. Love how there are throws in the living room and provisions in the kitchen. You have gone to trouble to make it special for guests in order for them to enjoy their
stay. Thank you so much
We absolutely loved staying at the Dundonald Cottage and would come back in an instant if we're ever back in the vicinity again. The communication was brilliant, the property itself was exceptional, breakfast was magnificent and Culross itself was a great base for a few days in and around the central belt.
Above and beyond. Lots of lovely little touches. Very welcoming and homely. So good we had a cosy night in the communal lounge playing board games with a real fire in the fireplace.
